Every life holds untold treasures, not only in the big moments but in the details that quietly shape who we become. In this heartfelt reflection, LifeBook author Margot Griffiths shares her joy and surprise at reliving the past through memoir writing. Her words are a testament to memory, family, and the lasting power of the written word.

Here’s what Margot had to say about her journey with LifeBook Memoirs:

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of writing my memoirs, made easier by your amazing team—I didn’t want it to end. At the age of 87, it was wonderful brain exercise, and I surprised myself in being able to bring my past memories back to life.

I am quite delighted with the outcome, as are my family and friends, though it has caused them some amusement at times—more than once, I’ve heard my children say, “Mother, surely you never did that?!”

Researching and delving into long-forgotten memories gave me immense pleasure, and it was of personal importance to know that parts of my life will still be here long after I’m gone, for my family and friends to browse through.

Thank you to you and your team for your help and professionalism in turning my muddled, confusing words into something beautiful and for providing me with a book to treasure. I can die happy now, when the time comes, in the knowledge that I will have left my family a lovely printed version of my life story for them to giggle at, thanks to you.
