Alan Beckett, of Staffordshire, was encouraged by his grandson to share his life story, so he asked him to find someone who could help make it happen.
That search led Alan to us. He met his project manager and interviewer, and they embarked on a series of conversations that brought his autobiography to life. For Alan, the journey was deeply emotional, with laughter and tears in equal measure, and his finished book became not just a treasured keepsake but a special family heirloom with meaning far beyond the words on its pages.
Some time later, Alan visited LifeBook Memoirs to share his experience with co-founder Roy Moëd, reflecting on what it meant to create his private autobiography with us.
