Tim Steel Testimonial

Many people gift LifeBook projects to their loved ones, and many reach out after the book’s completion to share their experience and thoughts on the finished product.

Tim Steel is one such gifter. He wrote to us to reflect on the rewarding experience of helping his 85-year-old mother, Anne Reiner, create her LifeBook autobiography. The process not only preserved precious family memories but also revealed stories that her grandchildren had never heard before.

Here is what Tim had to say:

We first came across LifeBook Memoirs via a presentation given by Roy Moëd, and we were soon introduced to the in-house team. A series of interviews was arranged with my mother, at her house, at the rate of one per fortnight. My sisters and I were able to help jog her memory on certain dates, and we were also able to look back over numerous photograph albums. Some of those pictures date back to the 1930s, and some have been incorporated into the book.

My mother’s completed LifeBook has been a great success among the family and my mother’s grandchildren, who now number about 10. Many were unaware of aspects of her early childhood and her parents’ early childhoods. So, it has been a great success.

The quality of the writing and printing is extremely good, and the book cover is excellent. All in all, I had a very happy experience with LifeBook Memoirs, and I would definitely recommend the company to anyone else who is thinking of doing the same thing on behalf of an aged relative.

Anne’s book, My Wonderful Life, was completed in 2019.
