Like the rest of the world, the team at LifeBook and LifeBook Private Autobiographies have been monitoring the global situation closely.
\nThe call was made on 16th March that the team should work remotely. The management at LifeBook and LifeBook spent time planning for this, and we know that we can continue to offer the highest quality and most personal service. Working from home can be a lonely business, but the whole team are having two virtual meetings a day to make sure we stay connected and strong!<\/p>\n
To ease the transition, on our first day at home the team were sent a care package by Roy and Yvette, which contained a beautiful potted plant, tea bags, shortbread biscuits and some chocolates \u2013 everything a British person needs to get through whatever global catastrophe is going on.

Just as the team has adapted to working from home, the company has been adapting to the new culture of social distancing. Face-to-face interviews are a vital part of what we do, and obviously, these are now difficult to continue.<\/p>\n
However, it\u2019s more important than ever to have positive projects to focus the mind and fill time. We\u2019re excited to say that we\u2019ve found a great way around the issue of social distancing: we will temporarily be switching to remote video interviews or telephone interviews. Although we are all getting used to video calls, we can\u2019t wait to once again be sitting with our authors in face-to-face meetings.<\/p>\n
With people\u2019s interaction with others severely limited, it\u2019s really important to keep talking, to keep motivated, to not be mentally isolated, and to keep sharing those amazing stories. We may not be able to physically be with our friends and loved ones, but it\u2019s vital to remain connected.
\nNow, for the first time ever, we have time, and local and national newspapers have been suggesting ways to keep engaged while at home. Writing your autobiography tops their lists. We couldn\u2019t agree more \u2013 what better way to use this new-found time than compiling your life story? Dig out your old photos and reminisce, jot down those key memories and spend some time pondering that perfect autobiography title.<\/p>\n
