Interviewer roles
How long are interviewers hired for?
We hire interviewers for a single project at a time.
What is the commitment for an interviewer?
The interviewer commits to between 12 and 17 weekly or bi-weekly meetings, each lasting from 90 to 120 minutes, held over a period of six to eight months.
Why does the interviewer need to live close to the author?
Interviewers must live near the LifeBook author because interviews are conducted in person at the author’s home, usually on weekdays.
Can I do remote interviews?
Our memoir packages promise in-person interviews. While we do have occasional projects with remote interviews, these are handled by experienced interviewers who have already worked with us.
Ghostwriter roles
How long are ghostwriters hired for?
We commission ghostwriters on a project-by-project basis, depending on availability and compatibility with the author.
What writing experience is required?
We look for experienced writers with high standards of written English who can craft engaging narratives from interview material in voices other than their own.
What does the role involve?
The ghostwriter role involves shaping the content and structure of an autobiography, based on recorded interviews, and incorporating the author’s amendments.

Do you offer work experience or internships?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer work experience placements or internships as we operate remotely and are therefore unable to provide the in-person support and guidance that these opportunities typically require.
I can’t find the posting for a job I saw on another site. Where is it?
The job posting has likely been taken down because we have filled the position. The internet typically takes between 24 and 48 hours to catch up with additions and deletions to our site.
